Behind The Craft
After working as a custom cabinet maker and a project manager, Chris Hensel followed his passion and founded Dovetail Kitchen Designs. Since 2011 his business has grown and in 2025 a new name, Dovetail Design & Remodeling, came to reflect that growth.
However, his mission remains the same: providing high-quality, design-driven remodeling to clients in Central Minnesota and surrounding areas.
A proud Minnesota native, Chris and his wife Sarah have called the St. Cloud area home for over 20 years. Now living in St. Joseph with their four boys, the Hensel family shares a love for boating, fishing, hiking, and hunting. Chris also enjoys cooking and exploring new places with his family.
